PD Fund Learning Narratives


Literacy Nova Scotia (LNS) and the Adult Learning Division of the Department of Labour and Workforce Development offer a professional development fund. This fund is managed by the Professional Development Committee which is co-chaired by Literacy Nova Scotia and the Division.

The PD Fund was put in place last March to meet the needs of community-based organizations within the Nova Scotia School of Adult Learning. Individuals could receive up to $800 each to subsidize professional development opportunities outside the scope of offerings of Literacy Nova Scotia or the Department of Labour and Workforce Development. As well, organizations could receive funding for group activities for their staff which do not affect individual limits.

The Professional Development Committee must receive a Learning Narrative before processing claims, and receipts must be provided. The Learning Narratives are posted here:
